Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess an MBBS degree and be registered under the Assam Medical Council. Preference will be given to those with Post Graduate qualifications. A minimum of 20 years of service in the State Health Service is required, along with 5 years of administrative experience in the rank of SDM&HO or higher.
Age Limit
Applicants must be between 59 and 63 years of age as of 1st January 2026.
Salary
The salary for this position will be in accordance with The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) Rules, 2017, ranging from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000, along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 17,500 and other admissible allowances.
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted by a committee chaired by the Chief Secretary of Assam. Eligible candidates must appear before the committee and present original testimonials of their qualifications, date of birth, and work experience during the interview.
